I'm waiting until the last race on the card but I'm keen to back LOVELY LOOKIN'.

She's a progressive mare from the Andrew Gluyas stable that is flying this campaign with two wins from her three starts. Her only time out of the money was when fourth in the G3 Proud Miss Stakes.

She's drawn a tricky barrier but so are several of her main dangers and, by that stage of the afternoon, I don't think it will be a disadvantage to be getting to the middle of the track. In-form apprentice Taylor Johnstone knows her well, the 2kg claim brings her down to 55kg and I'm backing her in get the job done.

She's around the $4 in early betting and I think that's a generous price. 

I'm also having something on STARTS NOW earlier in the day in race 3. Both runs back from a spell have had merit and I think he's ready to peak third-up in a winnable race. 

He's another with a tricky middle draw but he should have a map edge on his biggest danger Zarkana, who will likely settle at the rear.

Anything around $4 looks a palatable price.
