Winning Trainer: Brad Widdup
On the lead up: "Things fell apart at the Gold Coast for us, but she has responded great. She's come home and turned up today after no trials, nice fillies' race, I'm rapt."
On Nash's ride: "Good, positive ride. That's why we put these guys on. They're the best, so nice to have him on. I haven't used Nash a lot for no other reason than we can't get him, so it was nice to get him."
Fitness advantage?: "It obviously helped. She's dynamic at this sort of trip against her own age and sex. I'd like to thank Brad Hunt. He has been a big supporter and it's nice to get a good filly for him.
On the plans?: "We will probably go to the 1400 now."
"She relaxes, she's got a good brain, so I can't see why not. We probably won't get that sort of luxury (in the lead) over 1400. You try to picture races, how they're going to turn out, and I'm happy with that. It was great.
"Tommy Berry actually jumped her out a couple of weeks ago so he knew all about her."
Winning Jockey: Nash Rawiller
On her good start and how it affected tactics: "It surprised me how well she jumped. It was our last plan but also one I didn't put a line through."
"Anything can happen in a race and there is nothing worse than being tied down by instructions. We were going to aim for the one/one and get her comfortable where we end up. After two strides it was pretty obvious where we were going to be."
On her kick in the straight: "I had enough confidence in her not to wait for them. I had all the favours so could afford to go at the top of the rise and make them chase me down. A few of them may have looked like they were coming at some stage in the race but she was always going to find something in the last 100m."
Beaten Jockeys:
Tommy Berry (Apocalyptic): "It was always going to make it hard from the home turn onwards. The leader got a picnic there in front. That was always a possibility. I like the way she hit the line late. Will be better suited at the 1400m."
Dylan Gibbons (Artistic Venture): "Nearly got three wide with cover. Didn't eventuate. Slow tempo but still a little bit concerned with her. See how she pulls up."
James McDonald (Karinska): "She has run really well. She found the line nicely. 1400m suits."
Zac Lloyd (Sunrays): "Very happy with her. Has done well to compete in Sydney against these horses and will only improve."
Ashley Morgan (Queen Of Clubs): "For a filly on an Oaks path she couldn't have kicked off any better."
Tom Sherry (Nepo Baby): "Lovely filly. Did everything right. Will be a nice horse."
Sam Clipperton (Wootton Lass): "She ran a creditable race. Found the six furlongs a touch far first up. Will improve from the run."
Jason Collett (Shenandoah River): "Made a meal of it everywhere. In the gates and didn't step and then over-raced.
