ROSEHILL December 8

A Grass; Good 4

14 Heats – 4 x 1030m (3 Open; 1 Maiden); 10 x 900m (3 Open; 3 2YO; 4 Maiden)

DIVOTS (Hawkes Racing): A strong debut trial in Sydney by this Zoustar filly after impressing in a Victorian jumpout. Travelled easily in her maiden heat over 900m (54.57; 34.53) and was never off the leash to overhaul the leader and coast to a soft win by 1.4 lengths. Should take plenty of benefit from the experience.

PASSEGGIATA (Bjorn Baker): It's been a long wait for this unraced filly by Winning Rupert to reappear after she made an impression with two trials wins at Randwick and Rosehill in June. She again showed plenty of natural talent to control her 900m heat (54.65; 34.58) and cruise home with plenty in reserve.

PLATINUM JUBILEE (Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott): A pleasing return by the Gimcrack Stakes winner with her race experience evident in a fast run 900m heat. She had company on her outside from the start but her class kicked in over the last 200m as she strode away to win by more than three lengths in the fastest trial of the morning (53.96; 34.15).

Other sharp 900m heat winners included LUNA ROCKS (54.11; 33.95); ALPHA ONE (54.60; 34.94) and the 2YOs GROUNDRUSH (55.02; 34.99) and LAZZAGO (54.05; 34.48).

The maiden TORONOMICA posted the quickest time in the four heats over 1030m (62.32; 34.95) but the most impressive winner visually was the handy mare BANANA QUEEN (63.96; 35.00) weaving through from the back half for a strong win under a kind ride.
