Traralgon Nears Racing Return
The Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club is one step closer to returning to racing following five successful trial sessions on its newly constructed track.
Trials will continue each Tuesday and Thursday across the club's three race distances, as well as the 280‑metre trial‑only start.
The new track features a one‑turn design, similar in style to Sale.
"We have received really positive feedback on the condition of the track," said Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club General Manager, Nick Lecchino.
"Trainers who have trialled here are particularly complimentary about the 350‑metre and 425‑metre distances.
"We've also had a lot of positive feedback regarding the lure drives."
The club will host a picnic meeting on Monday, 23 March, with nominations opening Monday, 16 March and taken directly by the club. GRV will oversee grading for the meeting.
Winners on the day will receive $50 venue vouchers.
Traralgon is expected to resume racing in May in the Friday twilight timeslot. After four weeks, the schedule is set to expand to twice weekly with the addition of Monday racing.
