The G1s starting in France on Sunday

And that will start with the Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp.

It is over 1900m and has a field of seven with the market headed by Sosie, recent winner of the Ganay.  This is down in trip from his latest start and the double G1 winner will have Maxime Guyon in the irons for Andre Fabre and they are on evens.  The Gosdens are sending Sardinian Warrior with Soumillon booked for the ride and they are on 3/1 and if you need another for the multiples try Alcantor on 6/1 for Fabre-Pouchon.

Before that we have the G3 Palais-Royale over 1400m also with seven runners.  It's becoming quite usual to find a William Haggas-trained globetrotter in a race and here it's Lake Forrest a recent winner of the Golden Eagle in Australia.  They are on 2/1 with Ciaron Fallon riding since Tom Marquand is on duty in Hong Kong.

Christopher Head saddles the promising Topgear on 9/4 with Pasquier riding and we liked Beauvatier last year and hope he's in similar form with 9/2 for Barberot-Pouchin. Fabre's Sajjir should not be overlooked especially in the multiples and is on 6/1.

The second G1 of the day is the Vicomtesse Vigier which has been recently raised to G1 status.  It's over 3100m and has nine starters, led by last year's winner Sevenna's Knight on 4/1for Fabre-Pouchin.  Double Major, third in this race last year, is on 9/2 for Ferland-Guyon together with Dubai Future, a Godolphin horse with Saeed bin Suroor who is in great form.  We also like Candelaria from the Aga Khan's Estate who is with Francis Graffard and will have Lecouevre on board – they are on 5/1.
