The Dubai World Cup, worth 12 million dollars to the winner, has attracted 151 entries including Laurel River and Hit Show, successful in the last two renewals of the contest. They could be joined by Breeders' Cup Classic (Gr.1) hero Forever Young and US runners Gosger and White Abarrio.

The Longines World's Best Racehorse Calandagan heads ninety-five nominations for the Dubai Sheema Classic on Dubai World Cup night at Meydan.

He is joined by an excellent list of possible participants, including last year's winner Rebel's Romance, the Breeders' Cup Turf hero Ethical Diamond, alongside Japanese representation in the form of Croix Du Nord, Durezze and Masquerade Ball.

Jerome Reynier's Facteur Cheval will be attempting to replicate his success from 2024 in the Dubai Turf (Gr.1) and could face fellow Group 1 winners Ombudsman and Jantar Mantar, representing British and Japanese interests.

Erwan Charpy, Head of Racing Operations & International Relations at Dubai Racing Club, said: "We are thrilled to see such exceptional nominations from around the world for the 30th running of the Dubai World Cup. The presence of former and defending champions highlights the prestige and global pull of this meeting, and we are confident that the 2026 edition will deliver an outstanding celebration of international racing at its very best."
