Winning Jockey: Craig Newitt

"Obviously he's got loads of ability but just his racing pattern, his last couple of starts he's been deleted out of the race halfway through.

"I spoke to Cindy this morning and we had a plan to get him back, get him wide and give him room, but the way the track has gone, you just can't get too far away from the rail.

"I said to the owners that we probably had to ride him how we didn't want to ride him. I just rode the fence and the way the track was playing and he got there.

"He had plenty of room to get through. He wasn't hesitant. Then tempo was good, not overly quick.

"He really surged to the line and it will give the owners something to look forward to over Cup Week."
