Almost won the Oaks 13 months ago: "That was a very good run. It was too close, but she is a good mare and she tries hard. The race was set up good today and Ben Melham rode her ten out of ten."
Difficult being a backmarker: "It does a bit a bit, but if you have a look she was probably a few strides closer today. He saved every inch and when the other horse came off the fence a bit, he pressed the button."
Plans - maybe Queensland?: "We'll take her home. She's on the float in the morning and we'll get her home, but we probably will (go to Queensland)."
Stabled with Andrew Gluyas: "Andrew has done a super job. I looked at her today and I was very happy with her. He's a champion bloke and he's had a fair bit of success lately and she's doing the right thing."
Relief winning today: "She's never a maiden. She's only ever won a Class 1 and a Group 3. She could have probably won a lot more races than what she has. It's always good to win anywhere and it's my first winner here. I'm overwhelmed."
Winning Jockey: Ben Melham
Not that bad a run last time: "That's what I said when I came in. She got stuck down on the rail and the wind really picked up in that race and I felt it really affected her chances quite a bit. She was looking for the 2000 (metres). She was a different horse today and she had the best credentials in that race. She just had to turn up today, I felt, and she did and won well."
Small field in her favour: "The other day she was out the back and on and off the bit. It was just a real nothing run. Today she was able to travel up into the corner and she just felt when I was able to give her a clear run, she was able to quicken up really well."
Nothing wrong being inside: "I can't work this track out. The last three times I have been to this track, it walks as though there is nothing wrong with the inside. Rail over six metres probably evens it up a little bit, but there was certainly nothing wrong with it then."
