Winning Trainer: Michael Freedman (owner & breeder Anthony Gow-Gates speaking)

"Beautifully ridden by Craig today. A lot of hopes for him. Goes into the Newmarket, hopefully.

"So we haven't seen the best of him, but he's had a few issues in the past. But Michael and the boys and his relations... I think they've put things together."

"Two weeks ago in the Rubiton, [we were] disappointed. We were hoping he would fare much better and this was the test of that. So, Michael's the driver. But after today hopefully he goes into the Newmarket."

Winning Jockey: Craig Williams

On the win: "The rail presented, Michael Freedman and his team have done a great job, they targeted him down here, it's his second up run, the family looked after him down here, Sam and Anthony, they were really happy with his progression.

They just changed his preparation in regards to gear on race day. Had a nice barrier draw, we were able to make the most of it and he won really solidly in the end."

Plenty of room: "The leader hung, it was not tracking straight anyway from the get-go, then it changed stride around the bend and I thought I'll come out with him, got to the front a bit early but sent him because of his class and he was too good for them today."
