"It might have been a bit of trainer error last start. He was so sharp at his first run that i thought I'd try and keep him fresh and go another 1100 but probably just roder him out of his comfort zone and his run at Ipswich was super, really, as he was under the pump.
"It was no ones fault (there). Tried to stay in touch but the winner was a good horse and I think he's going to be hard to beat later.
On this run: "The further he goes, the better he will be. I think he's a nice horse. Well bred and it is shame that Sammy isn't going to be around to ride him."
Future: "He has a nice cruising speed and keeps rolling along. I think he's going to make a nice horse. I don't know if it is going to be this prep but at three he'll make a nice horse and go through his grades well."
Winning Jockey: Samantha Collett
"We had a big opinion of this horse but he has taken a bit of time to put things together. The step back to 1400-metres was the key today.
"He's improved in leaps and bounds and I think the ultimate gear change, being gelded, after last prep (has helped).
"You can see that he's beautiful, big type of horse and he really relished the 1400 here today. I don't think you've seen the best of him yet."
Can get get a mile: "I think so. Once he gets a bit more milage under his belt and when he gets to a mile he'll be a tough horse to get past."
