The 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale started with a bang on Tuesday and Wednesday's second day is expected to see even more fireworks with some of the day's expected top performers including the handful below.

Lot 239 – Anamoe x Eawase filly

Sheikh Mohammed's former Horse Of The Year is the headline member of this year's first-season sires and among his 31 lots to be sold throughout the week is Lime Country Thoroughbreds chestnut filly out of Sebring mare Eawase, who is a daughter of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Karuta Queen.

Lot 250 – I Am Invincible x Eloping colt

Segenhoe Stud had a good result last year with a filly by the three-time Australian Champion Stallion out of the Choisir mare, realising the third highest price of the sale at $2.3m, and the Hunter Valley farm will offer a colt with the same bloodlines.

The bay colt is Eloping's seventh foal with the best of her progeny to date being In Secret, who is also a daughter of I Am Invincible, and won the Coolmore Stud Stakes and Newmarket Handicap at Group 1 level on the track.

Lot 300 – Stay Inside x Freehearted colt

Stay Inside was one of the most popular first-season sires at last year's sale and he again has a big book this year, including Widden's youngster from a daughter of Dylan Thomas.

The colt is the second foal from Freehearted, who is a half-sister to Villa Verde – the dam of My Gladiola – and Miss Sharapova, who is the dam of Doubtland.

Lot 345 – Extreme Choice x Hazelbrook colt

Extreme Choice's fertility issues mean he does not have a heap of yearlings to be offered, but half of the 10 lots he has in the book will go through on Day 2, including Kingstar Farm's colt out of the Hinchinbrook mare who has had three to race, all of whom are winners, including Wollombi, who is also by the Newgate stallion.

Lot 372 – Snitzel x Iffranesia colt

One of the most spoken-about lots on the sale ground in the lead-up to this year's sale was Arrowfield's colt by its late champion stallion out of the French-bred daughter of Iffraaj.

The chestnut colt is the fifth foal for Iffranesia, who had three winners from four to race, the pick of whom is last year's runaway Ken Russell Memorial winner Beadman, another son of Snitzel.
