Winning Trainer: Chris Waller
On his lead up: "It has been tough the last couple of runs, wet tracks and things like that. He's a stable favourite, he would be right up there in the top few. You don't want to see horses running down the track like he has been."
"We put our heads together and said, this horse has never looked better. If anything, he looked a bit too well last start. He has never worked better, the track riders, our foreman and strapper, all of us said let's keep pushing on."
"We are at the point of saying, 'sorry Nash, do you mind riding him again. He mightn't be in the best form' and Nash said, 'he's been good to me. I'll stick with him.' As they say, the band is back together."
Dry track key: "Good track today and he will hold that form now."
Winning Jockey: Nash Rawiller
Thoughts on Lindermann's latest runs: "He's just been a little bit inconclusive on these heavy tracks. To me, for a horse who usually gives his all every time, I thought he'd been a little bit quick to give the game away. Chris took him home, had a great look at him. It wasn't until Wednesday that I accepted the ride.
On his long term association with Lindermann: Charlie [Duckworth] said, do you want to ride him? I couldn't not be on him. I've got that much faith in the horse."
"This was his race today on the platter and was special to see him come out and do it.
"He's the best horse in the race. I knew he wouldn't let me down if he turned up and if he didn't, I would have sat up on 150m and looked after him because he deserves it – he's been a great horse."
Beaten Jockeys:
Rachel King (Arapaho): "Very pleased with him. Way short of his best. Pleased with his work late."
Chad Schofield (Ceolwulf): "Couldn't muster any gatespeed. We had a good run. Travelled well and gave a little turn of foot. Just peaked the last buit.'
Adam Hyeronimus (Vauban): "He was brilliant. I couldn't have been more pleased with the way he handled himself at this distance. The leaders dictated the race on a firm track. When he goes up in distance there will be more pressure in the races he is heading towards. In for a very good campaign."
Tim Clark (Sir Delius): "Great return. He is a proper horse."
Kerrin McEvoy (Huetor): "Pleased first up from a little break. Another run or two he will be primed and ready to go."
James McDonald (Land Legend): "He is just looking for further."
Dylan Gibbons (Adelaide River): "He is going OK. Just needs to iron a few things out."
Zac Lloyd (Athabascan): "Good base for him. He will be ready to build off that."
Tommy Berry (Birdman): "He has a nice race in him this time but it was a leader dominated race. Felt like he was good to the line."
Jason Collett (Robusto): "Sat outside the lead which was tougher over the mile."
Tyler Schiller (Full Count Felicia): "I think she has ticked all the boxes there. Just needs the right trip and a softer track."
