Laurie trio have Caulfield spin
Yulong-owned gallopers Treasurethe Moment, Vinrock and See You In Heaven enjoyed a race day experience at Caulfield.
Trainer Matt Laurie took advantage of giving two of his Group 1 winners from last season a gallop between races at Caulfield.
Dual Oaks winning mare Treasurethe Moment galloped solo while Vinrock was joined by recent stable acquisition See You In Heaven in separate gallops between races on Saturday.
All three gallopers are owned by Yulong with both Treasurethe Moment and Vinrock again on the Group 1 path during the spring while plans for See You In Heaven are still to be finalised.
Laurie said taking the three horses to Caulfield from his Mornington base on Saturday was the perfect way to get some extra stimulation into them rather than having a gallop at home.
"It was all about a bit of race day stimulation and if you get the opportunity to take them away and work them on a lovely surface, you should take that opportunity," Laurie said.
Treasurethe Moment is booked to have her first-up in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on August 30 with Vinrock scheduled to run in the Group 3 H D F McNeil Stakes (1200m) on the same day.
After the Memsie, Laurie is planning to take Treasurethe Moment to the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on September 13 and then on to the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on October 4.
Treasurethe Moment is entered in both the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) on October 18 and the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley the following week.
Laurie said it would be Yulong's call as to which race the mare heads.
A Sydney campaign is on the cards for Vinrock after his first-up run, with the Group 2 Run To The Rose (1200m) at Rosehill on September 13 and the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m), also at Rosehill, on September 27 planned.
"I was very happy with Vinrock, I thought he relaxed beautifully in the gallop," Laurie said.
"I loved the way he quickened up beside her (See You In Heaven).
"I'm thinking he'll run first-up in the McNeil and then go up to Sydney for the Run To The Rose and the Golden Rose."
Formerly in the care of Richard and Chantelle Jolly in Adelaide, See You In Heaven was purchased by Yulong at the National Broodmares Sale on the Gold Coast in June.
"She's a well-performed mare that probably tapered off last preparation," Laurie said.
"She's had her little issues after speaking with Richard Jolly about her, but if we can get some form back, that would be wonderful, otherwise she will be off to visit one of the Yulong stallions.
"There will be no pressure there because of what she has done so far, and if she can add to it, wonderful, but she has a good record and is a lovely style of horse."
The Group 3 W W Cockram Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 30 is under consideration as a starting point for See You In Heaven.
"But it sounds like it might be a pretty hot race, so we'll have a think about it," Laurie said.
