Sandown Hillside Race 2 – Exit

Big return win this Bivouac filly who was sent out a $7 chance in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude on debut last time in and justifying that price here with a dominant win in good time. She settled back and rounded them up over 1300m with gaps through the field, running two lengths faster than the older benchmark 70 horses later in the card over the same trip. With this early kick off before her three-year-old season I think she can measure up in some of the early Group races in the Spring.

Randwick Kensington Race 2 – Pictor

Outstanding debut from this colt by Written Tycoon who got a long way out of his ground but rattled home to just miss another Written Tycoon progeny in the Yulong colours, Grand Prairie. Pictor was taken back from a wide draw, had to check off heels in the straight but went straight past the race favourite Ninja, coming up short on the line by the barest of margins. He won't be a maiden for very long at all and is the one to follow from a strong race.
