Winning Trainer: Mark Currie

Pre-race antics: "He bucked when we were letting Craig on and got away from the handler and pulled up.

On the run: "He kept grinding away and I didn't think it was too bad a win. I didn't think he'd handle the heavy.

"He trialled on Tuesday at Warwick and he was behind Steady Ready and trialled really good. When it was wet we thought everything was thrown out the door.

"He hadn't raced on heavy. Two bonuses, he has won now and likes the wet.

Good run this carnival: "Everything seems to be going good. Having a couple of nice horses - Tavs is one - and it is good to have them in the stable who can win down here."

Winning Jockey: Craig Williams

"He presented really well today. The question mark was the ground and what type. Also the ground and what our position from the barrier.

"We got cover behind the horse that we just beat in the end and he was quite dominant late. He really had his will to win today.

"I had to get cover. If I got three-wide cover - good - even four-wide. It might have just been the way the race was run but my horse was really good and strong.

"With this type of rain and wear and tear, there usually is a pattern later on."
