Risk Of Love  (Emmanuel Clayeux/James Reveley)

Toulouse – R3 - Prix Saint-Georges

This represents a drop in class for the unexposed chaser Risk Of Love, who looks well-placed now entering handicap company for the first time in the Prix Saint-Georges.

Trained by the in-form handler Emmanuel Clayeux and ridden by the equally in-form rider James Reveley, who enjoyed a treble at Auteuil on the weekend, Risk Of Love looked like a useful prospect over fences when winning second up at Lyon-Parilly in a Class 2 last season.

His effort in the following Listed Prix Rigoletto at Auteuil was by no means a disgrace and whilst subsequent runs at Clairefontaine and Dieppe might not have been quite as good; they still came in tougher company than what he faces this afternoon.

The application of first-time cheekpieces is an interesting angle that could bring about further progress, while the booking of James Reveley for the first time also has to be viewed as a positive.

A two-time winner over hurdles and Listed-placed, Emmanuel Clayeux's charge has more than enough ability to be making an immediate impact off this opening mark.
