Race 1

#10 GOR GOR has only been in the stable of new trainer Brett Crawford for 2 months but already he's looking a different conveyance. He was taken to Happy Valley recently for a 1200m assignment and worked to the line with geuine swagger and a late gliding turn of foot. The blinkers recently coming off have allowed him to chill and it appears that wins are on the way.

#5 VIGOR EYE isn't overly tall but he's a robust type with plenty of improvement to come. He's displayed good reliable gate speed at all three outings and there'll be another opportunity for him to find the rail first and lead.Closing sectionals are gradually starting to trim, so unprovoked, he should be in the hunt for a long way.

#12 SHOTGUN had no form to speak of when the season began but the addition of blinkers, since December, has brought about a positive change. He's now racing with confidence following a last start class 5 win and from the  low draw, with a light weight, he'll make his presence felt again.Class 4 is an area where he's yet to measure up but his recent data say's he must be strongly respected.

#6 WINNING CHAMPION showed encouraging signs during his initial days of racing but hasn't recieved any luck along the way. He's been unable to find rhythm, comfort or continuity during most races contested this campaign which has unfortunately brought about varying results.Neverthless, he's looked good finding the line at his past couple and today the draw assists.

#1 MOTOR has been freshened up following two below par efforts over the 1400m at the end of November and December. He'd been super consistent at all outings prior and is therefore worthy of respect.I'm now convinced he's a 1000m to 1200m horse so the wide barrier can be off-set by his gate speed. However, the key to him running well is primarily the grade.

Race 8

#4 SOLID CAR was the subject of decent bets first up for the season and despite being beaten ran according to the market support. The former Australian galloper held strong 2yo form in Victoria before landing in Hong Kong but has taken time to properly settle in.Another solid foundation of track-work and treadmill circuits has recently been absorbed, so with Zac Purton now booked, he should go close.

#2 NYX GLUCK is progressing nicely and it's difficult to fault his overall form.James McDonald made zero errors when exiting gate 1 three starts back and the pair travelled perfectly before racing away to score. His two efforts since have been honest in defeat so he's recommeded a solid  win/place chance.

#10 AMAZING DUCK has attempted to lead throughout on a three occasions over the 1600m and almost succeeded in doing so twice. With barrier 2 to jump from today, the same tactics shall be applied by regular rider Richard Kingscote. The drop back in trip adds a little more pressure early on but he's extremely fit and fresh up for this test.

#5 GENIUS BABY won with authority at Happy Valley in early December and has since been consistently around the mark. The weight increase that followed the victory has since been able to nullified closing power so the option to step up in trip has now been utilised. The good draw provides him with the likely run of the race so he must be entertained for all plays.

#11 DECISION LINK has a decent size engine, which was sighted on debut, but has struggled to cope with the hustle and bustle of racing. The tongue tied was added two starts back so breathing has been a concern but he's gradually starting to get things sorted out.The wide gate looks a big task to overcome but the extra room to move should be a blessing.

Race 9

#2 CITY GOLD BANNER looked like an absolute beast when he entered the mounting yard at Sha Tin4 weeks ago and shortly after ran up to appearance. He jumped fairly, then settled back whilst finding rhythm under Zac Purton before opening up his stride through the final 600m to win.The display was that of a galloper with high class talent and a massive future ahead, so it'll be a shock, even with the extra 10lbs, if he doesn't back it up.

#14 TURQUOISE VELOCITY took his unbeaten trial form to the races on debut and produced a well rounded victory in good time. The track work that followed gave the indication he'd maintained a comfortable level but he wasn't able to find under-pressure second up.He's since gone back to the Sha Tin trials, on turf, and produced a brilliant front running display.

#12 SPARKLING FELLOW raced eight times in Australia before being exported to Hong Kong so he was well expose before arrival.Dropping into class 4 for the first time was significant last start as he raced home strongly, under Zac Purton, to just go down. It'll be tougher rising in class but he's certainly feeling well.

#4 SIGHT HERMOSO was noticeably held up on debut before producing strong closing sectionals to win his second start. The increase in weight quelled his ability to repeat the dose third up but he's since won again at his most recent start. He continues to improve with every outing and hasn't reached his ceiling just yet.

#5 CENTRAL BANK was a two time winner in Australia before relocating to Hong Kong and is now under the care of trainer David Eustace. He's only little, weighing in at less than a 1000lb, but has moved sharply in two trials. He hasn't taken long to fully come to hand and is expeceted to run a solid competitive race.
