Caitlin Tootell's fast start to the season can continue across two states this weekend.

The apprentice jockey has ridden 14 winners at a 19% strike rate since August 1, including four at metropolitan level, and is quickly becoming Adelaide's most in-demand 3kg claimer.

Tootell has fives rides at Morphettville Parks on Saturday before she makes her first visit to Flemington to ride last-start winner Nurys for Murray Bridge trainer David Huxtable.

The best of her Adelaide rides appears to be Ginger Sinner, who is $6 in a benchmark 72 handicap, while Zatanna and Ima Shelby are rated each-way chances in the market.

Although she doesn't combine with Michael Hickmott on the weekend, Tootell said the Murray Bridge trainer has been the catalyst for her recent run of form.

She has ridden Hickmott-trained horses Rabtat, Anotherhouse and Lake's Folly to metropolitan wins in recent months.

"I probably have to thank Michael Hickmott (for the winning momentum), he's given me seven winners in town so far," Tootell said.

"The winners have been great and my focus is to keep riding winners here over the spring.

"I am very excited to ride at Flemington.

"It was a nice surprise when my manager called me and asked me if I was keen to go to Mount Gambier or Flemington.

"It was a pretty easy decision."
