Doomben - 26th July 2025

We're back at Doomben this weekend with over $700,000 in prize money on offer.

Some big fields await us at Doomben this Saturday and there looks to be some value on the competitive nine-race card.

Our best bet of the day comes up in race four with us siding with Ramp It Up who is coming off a runner-up finish at Group 3 level last time out.

This Love Conquers All colt hit the line strongly to finish second in the Winx Guineas at the latest outing and should appreciate dropping back to Handicap company this time around.

Is one from one over this course and distance and only needs a bit of sting out of the ground to be showing his best. With the track currently rated a Slow 6, and with rain predicted for Saturday, the current $5.50W and $2.20P quote appears to be good shopping.

Our each-way play is the well-related Set To Shine in race seven for the formidable Tony Gollan yard.

This full-sister to the dual-Group 3 winning and multiple-Group 2 placed Houtzen saves her best form for the Doomben circuit with four wins and three placings from nine spins and gets in well at the weights with Emily Lang's 1.5kg claim.

The $10W and $3.30P currently on offer looks an attractive place-heavy type investment.
