Winning Trainer: Matthew Dunn

"He did the hard work today. Things didn't work out from the point of the corner and he had to set him alight and chase down a horse that probably had a soft enough time in the middle stages of the race.

"He timed his run well in the end, just, but the horse is going well. David Moodie sent him up to me from Victoria four or five starts ago and he is still improving and still working out how to race properly, too.

"He's only going to get better. Only thing I saw coming into today was that this track was going to get a bit firm because he was very effective on a heavy track last start but he proved today that he is equally as good on soft or firm ground.

"I'm not sure where we go with him from here. Don't want to overtax him this preparation as he's a big, strong horse.

"We'll press on and see where we get to."

Winning Jockey: Regan Bayliss
