Winning Trainer: Michael Mehegan

Ear muffs off for race: "First up, she was just very fractious, very nervy. So we were happy to leave them on (pre-race), she's won with them on before, over 1200. I was bitterly disappointed not to win the Bellmaine, normally I've given her two trials and I gave her three, she's probably raced a bit flat second up.

"But today, if you go on that view, she's third up, she was always going to be pretty hard to beat.

"She's very strong. I always thought she was up to this class. It's pretty rewarding when a plan comes off."

"She just needs to lead and control the race, Dan rode a perfect race, a beautiful race."

Next: "Most likely we'll go to the VOBIS Day, there's a race there for her, or we might go even higher, we'll see what happens,"

Winning Jockey: Daniel Stackhouse

On the win: "It was good, big credit to Michael and his team and his family, presented her in terrific order today. I just knew if I could control it, roll early, get a nice breather in the mid stages and then build from about the 500 (metres) I'd be hard to chase down and I was."

"She wanted to get on the job early, I said just wait darl, drop your head, keep relaxed and once she did that I thought she'd very tough to run down because she keeps going."
