Bahrain back in action

The Chairman's Cup and the King's Cup will be run on Friday 3 April.

This meeting should have happened a month ago but was rudely interrupted by the war in the region.  The track is very close to a US base which was the target of several missile and drone strikes.

Of course some of the international horses have left due to other commitments but there are enough good horses there to make for an interesting program. 

The Chairman's Cup is Local G1 over 1000m with 8 entries.  We've no idea what the market is like by the two who grabbed out attention are Chandigah who has had three wins and a second in his last four start, and Grand Grey who will be ridden by Alberto Sanna.

The King's Cup is G3 over 2400m and here we like the look of Refreshment, Phantom Flight and Calif.  Phantom Flight is with George Scott and has been set for this race so stayed on in Bahrain awaiting the meeting to happen.
