"We were pretty confident with this horse coming here today. He went like a jet first-up and he likes being ridden cold from a wide draw.

"He's a nice galloper going forward and he is certainly progressive. Despite the sticky gate, I said to Tahlia to be positive on him going forward. He gets out in front and he was happy there.

"The owner is very keen to see him ridden positive. Probably wanted to ride him forward last start as well from a very wide gate over a mile but we said 'no, he has to go back'. He won well today and this time we put him back into the race.

"The horse is very adaptable and he's a very strong stayer. He'll get further than 2200. He is well suited to hopefully pick off a few more up here."

Winning Jockey: Tahlia Fenlon

"Today, stepping up to the 2200 we elected to go forward as we didn't think there was a lot of pace. He got the lead quite easily and relaxed and travelled well. It was a bit different because we rode him quiet last start.

"He's a nice versatile horse. Last run was the first time I sat on him."
