斯派塞纯血马（Spicer Thoroughbreds）通过纯血马代理商亚历克斯·艾略特买下今年塔特索斯爱尔兰九月周岁马拍卖会中价格最高的一匹赛驹，即由巴利林奇育马场种公马「新湾」育种下的一匹小公马，这匹小公马由Shane Power的信风育马场（Tradewinds Stud）提供，以11.5万欧元被拍下。

这匹小公马去年曾以2.4万欧元被买下，它的母系是曾在比赛中夺得亚、季军的「夕鞑图巴尔」，「夕鞑图巴尔」目前为止已有两匹冠军子嗣，包括冠军小母马「拭目以待」。

"我很熟知这匹种公马，这匹小公马是整场拍卖中我最喜欢的马驹，"艾略特笑着说道。

"「新湾」是一匹卓越的种公马，我非常喜欢它。要得到像这样一匹由「新湾」育种下如此漂亮的马驹是很难的，这匹小公马就是我想要买的，我认为它有朝一日能够成为一匹出色的赛驹。"

「新湾」目前为止已有8匹锦标赛冠军子嗣，其中包括曾两次夺冠一级赛的母马「藏红花海滩」。「新湾」今年在巴利林奇育马场育种，配种费用为3.75万欧元，它2021年时的配种费用为2万欧元。
